Love your content - thank you! I am heading to Santorini for 3 days at the end of October and am starting to feel anxious. I booked a really cool JR suite with a heated pool at the Dana Villas and Suite one night a little impulsively. It is beautiful, but I am traveling with my teen/adult children (boy 17 and girl 20 y/o). I think at the time I booked it I thought it was the best for us, great view, cave room with a pool, everyone has a bed, but in a quieter area than OIA or FIRA. But is it too much of a couples-only area? And the weather is cool but we definitely want to take a boat/catamaran or something to swim and explore. How can I make this trip work best for my family? Any ideas or recos?
I think Dana is a great choice. You'll love it and so will your children. Firostefani is quieter than Fira but not necessarily "more romantic". You'll be right on the caldera hiking path so head north to Oia one day, then bus back.
Hello, I can't stop reading all the great information you share! My husband has family in Greece, and we plan to go for our first visit. We have four other couples that will be joining us. I have researched but am having difficulty figuring out an itinerary because there is just sooooo much to see. We will be flying from Minnesota and would like to see some of the islands and hopefully spend a few nights on at least one of them (Maybe a VRBO). We were thinking of just a few nights in Athens to see the sites. However, our family lives in Galaxidi, so we want to spend about 2-3 nights there. Could you please give me some ideas on how to organize this trip? I want it to be a fantastic experience for my husband and friends. We are planning on staying approximately two weeks.
Sounds like fun and a great trip in the making. You'll be close to both Delphi and the Meteora so definitely hit those places. Then just have to pick your island. Many great ones. Santorini, Naxos, and Paros are at the top of my list but you really can't go wrong.
The hotel map is great. Look forward to using it to book accommodation for Athens where I haven’t visited for years.

Whew! glad to hear you think it's a good choice. And yes, the caldera hiking path looks beautiful - sure bet!

What are your thoughts on the Blue Dome Santorini Villa in Imerovigli?
Sorry, I have not visited that one.
